And what a lesson wrapped up in it: don't get swallowed up in the pressures, look for (and embrace) the daily gifts. As you say, don't miss the forest for the trees. Thank you for the reminder. Even those of us without small children at home can relate when we feel overwhelmed by our circumstances...<br /><br />I so much love the last line: "of course, as we all know, these 'things' that bring joy in spite of great sacrifice...well, they are never things."<br /><br />Beautiful post. Appreciate your insights. And may I say we're grateful for the joy you bring into our lives!Kenda Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12972218446945404475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2359283830252491604.post-74925525355364482922010-09-28T14:57:41.277-04:002010-09-28T14:57:41.277-04:00I couldn't sleep last night cz Nicholas wanted...I couldn't sleep last night cz Nicholas wanted to be fed every 30 mins... It's not easy, but as you said "the most difficult things are often what end up bringing the most joy".Suzan Mayumi Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16888334919003750187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2359283830252491604.post-43660425036384478052010-09-28T14:38:26.138-04:002010-09-28T14:38:26.138-04:00Are you sure you can't read my mind??? :) Than...Are you sure you can't read my mind??? :) Thanks for the continual encouragement that I am not alone in these struggles.
